Summer Fun

Can it really be time for summer already? School's out, we've already hit past the 100 mark a few times now, so I would definitely say "YES". I picked up Schane's two good friends today & took them to the dollar store to get spray bottles. Within 10 mins of being home Matt breaks his. What an ordeal that turned out to be, no one wants to share. Mind you the kids are 7, 8, & 9, so you would think sharing would be in their vocab, um no. So now we have to take the timer out & everybody only gets a certain amount of time with the spray bottle because no one will take turns. The end result? FUN!! Oh ya!

While they were having fun I was grilling. It was so much fun just listening to the laughing & listening to their child like voices. It really brought back memories of when we did that growing up. I also remember having sprinklers. Oh what fun it was jumping in those. Do any kids actually run through those anymore? I never see anyone with them, maybe that's because I live in the desert & half the population here has a pool. We don't, so we use spray bottles, works just as good as you can tell. Pretty soon though it will be to hot to be out side & within 15 minutes they'll be saying "can we come in now"? Life is just so rough.

After a great dinner with friends, fun, food, & fellowship the kids decided to play dress up. I have known Matt & Abbey's mom for around 15 yrs now so the kids have grown up together. It has been great seeing them go through the stages one by one & the kids are just a part of my family as we are to theirs. Every chance I get I take a picture of the three of them and every time I say to myself that is the cutest picture ever. I don't think that will ever change.

Hi Mindi and Schane! We hope you are doing great! It's cloudy and cool (that's Oregon for you!) and Nora is growing so fast. I hope to have the summer off with her too, but I may not due to needing to go to work.

We love you!

Jules, Brian and Nora
